If the blood is acidic, the body will hit up the bones for some calcium. Different proteins, processed foods, and cereals all metabolize (what they become with processing) in the body as acidic. Proper amounts of fruits and veggies tend to make the body alkaline. Yet, quality dairy and other proteins support bone health. Citrus is acidic initially but metabolizes as alkaline in the body(1).
Calcium to phosphorus and other nutrient ratios get out of whack when improper intake of vitamins and minerals occur. Different nuts, spices, fruits, veggies, proteins, and healthy fats play roles in supplying these deficiencies(2). Exercise helps support bone health, and different medications also affect it(1).
In short, bones simply point to the whole body needing a balanced range of all sorts of the right foods and supplements. My family uses a convenient line of supplements in Source 1 that helps us get very high-quality, well-absorbing doses of all different nutrients - please fill out the contact form above for more information.
